True Ownership vs. Conventional Lease Program

CONVENTIONAL LEASE VS. TRUE OWNERSHIP with KINGDOM

This has to be one of the most celebrated differences between Kingdom Christmas Lights and your leading Christmas light installation contractors.  Almost every residential and commercial holiday lighting company in the surrounding Houston Texas area offers their clients a conventional lease program.  We at Kingdom believe that it really only benefits the contractor and is not a wise investment.  The commercial grade LED lights we and decorations we offer are the best products in our market and will still be operating like new for at least a half of a decade.  This is what makes the lease option business model so attractive to the contractor who then in turn will use the same lights you leased on other homes year after year. Think about it, you can customize them or any house so why not just buy them from your contractor?

The reason why most clients whether residential or commercial don't purchase the lighting is because they don’t have a choice.  We at Kingdom proudly offer TRUE OWNERSHIP of the decorations where you can pay around the same price to lease and then you own them and only need the labor to put them back up year after year.  Most of our clients have budgets but are excited about their lighting displays every year as once they own the decorations, they can add new areas and more decorations while remaining in the same budget.  If you have read somewhere or heard us say that, “We’ll make this year the best ever, again and again” now you know why.

There are many reasons to choose Kingdom Christmas Lights but this has to be one of the major ones.  If you’re ready to purchase the right equipment at the right lengths from the right company, give us a call right now.

What To Expect During Lighting Installation

WHAT TO EXPECT

ON INSTALLATION DAY

We mostly schedule home installation in weekly blocks or on a first come first serve basis.  This means you will have the 1st week, 2nd week or 3rd week block based on pricing and scheduling.  Prior to your installation appointment, you will receive a call from our scheduler to make sure that you're ready.  Here's so things to look out for and make yourself aware of.

SAME PAGE - Before we get started, our lead installer will confirm your order and design options.  We will then address the power supply preferences and may need to gain access to the circuit breaker panel.

SUPERVISION - Many potentially dangerous items for children can be on a job site during the installation process such as ladders, empty material packaging, twisty ties, clips ect.  Please assist our installers in keeping our excited and curious youth supervised and safe!

LADDERS - We at Kingdom offer roofing services during the year and have a vast knowledge of roofing systems.  The collateral of Christmas light installation however can be damaged or scratched gutters.  This is not always the case but from time to time it does happen and is seemingly avoidable.

INSTALLATION - We attach lighting with plastic clips to the shingles or gutters.  If you have a ridge line installation, we will be using staples to attach the lighting.  In the few areas that have either brick or stone, those are the only two approved surfaces to receive a hot glue application.  When there is a metal surface, we can also use magnetic clips but they will however be an additional charge for the materials.

EXPERIENCE - At any point during the installation, if you would like to take a picture with the guys or have them pose in their Santa hats, all you have to do is ask.  We love making unforgettable memories for our clients to cherish.

PERFECTION - Although we take pride in ourselves and the service that we provide our clients, there are situations where we overlooked a clip or trash particle during the clean-up process.  We are counting on a reasonable understanding from our clients that we perform to the best of our ability each day.

Saying Goodbye to Incandescent Lighting!

Saying Goodbye to Incandescent Lighting

We at Kingdom Christmas Lights are very excited about the new 2020 season!  To be perfectly honest, after the year that we've had, Christmas could get here soon enough.  Most of us are spending more time with our families as the true meaning of the Christmas is coming to the surface.  Some would say that we're putting Christ back in Christmas as the refiner burns the dross and impurities off of our holiday traditions.  I would suggest that we've learned a valuable lesson this year of how quickly and permanently everything can change so we should cherish every moment and memory. Let's dive into what's new with Kingdom in 2020.

This brings us to our SOP (Standard Operating Procedure) adjustments for the 2020 season. It's the age old conversation regarding the traditional incandescent lighting verses the LED Christmas lights.  Most of can agree that when the LED's were first was introduced to our market, they didn't resemble the traditional incandescent bulbs.  This may be the same experience a previous generation had when the incandescent bulbs replaced the literal candle in the window.  All of these products were produced to resemble the color hue of a fire flame.  I'm here to tell you, there has been a wealth of technological advancements over the years in the retrofit C9 SMD Christmas light bulb.  The warm white 7 diode bulbs (most bulbs are 2 to 4 diodes) have that same yellowish (flame) hue (color) that our customers have been enjoying for the past few years.

The traditional incandescent light bulbs are made out of glass with and inner filament verses the LED's strong acrylic outer shell with diodes inside.  For this reason, the incandescent's break when we're installing them and they definitely break when we're removing them.  Another bummer with the incandescent bulbs are they stop working without warning or reason right in the middle of our Christmas season.  Secondly, the power constraints and limitations with the incandescent's does leave some cause for concern with larger "Griswald like" decoration displays.  Although they do look good, they get very expensive for us to fix, replace and maintain every year so we're moving away from them permanently this year.

WE ARE NOT LONGER INSTALLING INCANDESCENT LIGHTING IN 2020.

If you have already done business with us and have the incandescent lighting stored away, don't worry, the LED bulbs fit in the same string.  Yes, your clips, string and connectors are all reusable, all you would need to do is purchase the replacement bulbs from us to change out your display.  For the first year, we are offering a discounted rate for our incandescent to LED conversions but you will need to have ordered them by October 10th.  Please contact our office with any questions that you may have or to schedule your home for the 2020 season.  Remember that we love you and we're looking forward to seeing your smiling faces once again this season.

2020 Christmas Contractors in Post Coronavirus Era

For Such a Time as This

This year will be full of uncertainty unlike many of the seasons that came before due to the effects of the coronavirus.  In the predominately college educated neighborhoods, we haven't really noticed an abundance of hardships like the news would lead you to believe.  In fact it's been quite the opposite, most of the families are working from home while refraining from spending their money on eating out and entertainment.  This behavior has created the spike of home improvement projects causing our communities to develop a passion to upgrade our personal spaces.  On the other hand, we also understand the imposed tariffs and trade conflicts with China this year so our season may be in for a big surprise.  After carefully studying the trends we're currently seeing in July, it's safe to anticipate the largest Christmas light installation season in our history.

"If we're going to be stuck here at the house, we might as well decorate it the best it's ever looked! -Ron Robey

Many of our customers return from year to year with fresh ideas to keep their commercial or residential properties looking great.  If you remember, soon after the coronavirus shutdowns started, much of America wanted to put their Christmas decorations back up to spread cheer.  This was covered by almost every news organization in the country for almost a week. This season the Diwali celebration (new moon festival of lights) will also fall right in the middle of our Christmas light installation season.  Usually it kicks or our crews schedules for holiday lighting because it falls somewhere in the final weeks of October.  This increased demand for our services coupled with the material shortages may birth the perfect storm.  Plainly stated, it may be more difficult than you think to get on a reputable Christmas light installation companies schedule.  We at Kingdom Christmas Lights recommend that you get your home or business scheduled earlier than before and lock in the pricing before the professional holiday lighting industry becomes harder to get than toilet paper or Clorox wipes.  :)

It's certainly not our intention to scare anyone into thinking that hope or Christmas is going to be cancelled this year.  We actually believe the opposite and have come into agreement on this Christmas being rich with family time and memories.  Let's be clear, we wanted to ensure you that Kingdom is preparing to assist a record number of clients this season.  Our organization will always be here to help and will continue striving to make sure your Christmas memories are cherished and the beautiful lights bring smiles to the recipients faces. May the Lord bless you until we have the chance to speak or meet again as we are looking forward to the day.
